Abstract

The PROFIT is an interdisciplinary research project devoted to studying social inheritance of inequalities. It is financed by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme, thematic priority 7 - 'Citizens and Governance in a Knowledge-Based Society'. The project includes researchers from 8 European countries and it is co-ordinated by prof. Wielislawa Warzywoda-Kruszynska, the head of the Institute of Sociology, University of Lodz.
