Man, thousands of years ago, has demonstrated an extraordinary capacity to relate with the place that inhabited, what he testified in cave drawings at the time of Inferior Neolithic period, 20,000 years ago. The caves of Lascaux are the more notable example of this, demonstrating our capacity in interpreting the world where we lived metaphorically, to express this artistic interpretation poetically and, even before dominating the orality. Transactional psychology is applied to study registers of this type, that is, for the agreement of the structural unconscious of our visual world, that not being a passive but dynamic direction, consists of an interactive relation between Man and the atmosphere of its place. The expressive and poetical qualities of these registers of Lascaux are the certification of this interactive relation that already we possessed with our habitat, so well express that we can decode it and understand it 20,000 later. How is it that a Man who is badly able to speak had a so intense conscience of its habitat that obtained to represent in such a way so deep and qualified? Probably this intense linking to the space is part of our ancestral memories that we inhabit, basic and fundamental relation for the life of the Man and its species. Since the Sixties that the European cities are in decline, for the fast and uncontrolled growth of suburbs, the abandonment of down town and central areas, pressured by market prices, and given to the tourists, and also by the sad drawing of speculative buildings, about the blind desire of the profit, as it is the sad example of Lisbon. The increasing digitalization of our life, where everything is mediated by the image and its potentiality, creates another dimension of reality, now lost between the real and tangible, half-abandoning, halfforgotten, and a virtual untouched world, fascinating new reality for many, that modified the life of all, and allows them to live unglued of values and tangible directions. A virtualized existence that is killing the urban life. What should be the role of Architecture? Perhaps one call of attention for the reality and its values, as it was made in the fifties with Neorealist architecture, its material and expressive concepts, far from the cult of image and composition. With this humanistic directions and closer to people, we could then explore through Architecture all the possibilities of this digital age.
