Ovariectomía en bovinos

Abstract

Uno de los principales objetivos de la economía mundial es la producción de alimentos. Contemplando el avance y evolución de otros países en la generación de estos recursos, se pueden tomar bases justificativas para la evolución del campo y generación de alimentos en nuestro país. Colombia es un país de muchas ventajas para crecer en el sector pecuario, pero el mundo y sus avances exigen más competitividad, para poder tener el nivel de mercado interno y externo, incitando a apostar por nuevas técnicas y métodos para mejorar la producción. Muchos países ya han desarrollado diferentes estudios referentes a la práctica de la ovariectomía arrojando variados resultados en la mayoría positivos para el aumento de peso de las hembras tratadas. Todos los sistemas de producción buscan el aumento rápido del peso de los ejemplares basando los estudios en la modificación de sistemas de alimentación, incluyendo sistemas de confinamiento, formulación de dietas, implementación de materias primas en las dietas. La finalidad productiva de un animal depende de varios factores como el medio ambiente, el estado fisiológico, la genética, la capacidad de conversión. Por eso la técnica de la ovariectomía tiene varias afecciones en los diferentes sistemas como mejora en el pastoreo, en la conversión alimenticia, hasta cambios en el comportamiento del ejemplar y el hato en general.
