Test results of Young's modulus and Resistance to bending of Guadua angustifolia KUNTH laminated

Abstract

This publication presents the results of the behaviour of the density, Young's modulus and resistance to bending in the outer and inner layer of bamboo Angustifolia Kunth’s laminated, with the object of appropriate technologies for manufacturing and producing information for modeling and simulation of laminated timber. The methodology followed for bending into small pieces is the proposed standard for wood German DIN-EN 408:2003 "Timber structures - Structural glued laminated timber and timber - Determination of some physical and mechanical properties" and that has been applied for the bamboo to considerance it like a timber.
