Abstract

The ultraflotation is used to remove ultrafine impurities that use a auxiliary mineral called carrying. That system is based on the differences of wetabillity of solids. This appears the analysis applied to the calcite (CaCO3). This is used like carrier in the ultraflotation system of anatase (TiO2) from kaolins. The technical “wetabillity of thin layers” was applied to determine the contact angle in aqueous media and its variation by effect of the addition of collector. The superficial tension and its components were determined from these results to analyze the superficial physico-chemical changes experienced by the mineral
