Esta obra contempla aspectos teóricos relevantes y ejercicios de simulación de modelos de ecuaciones estructurales (SEM), con el objetivo de explicar el desarrollo de procesos necesarios para aplicarlos en el análisis de variables de sistemas de producción agropecuario. En el primer capítulo se describen aspectos teóricos de los SEM y se hace una reflexión sobre la utilidad, su alcance y sus dificultades; en el segundo capítulo, se desarrollan dos ejercicios de aplicación (modelo de aceptación tecnológica y un modelo de tipo formativo); y en el tercer capítulo se indican las teorías y ejercicios para obtener los valores predichos de las variables latentes.
