Abstract

This thesis presents a new methodology for optimal integrated planning of medium and low voltage distribution systems with distributed generation (DG) in the low voltage network, and integration of energy storage systems (ESSs). This problem is formulated as a mixed integer non-linear problem and is solved using a simulated annealing algorithm (SA) with a novel neighborhood search method based on the Zbus matrix (NSZM)...
