Hrad Kynšperk nad Ohří

Authors: Hamberger, Karel;

Hrad Kynšperk nad Ohří

Abstract

Based on evaluation of older building archaeological survey documentation from the Museum of Cheb (1972 – 1974), the paper focuses on the hypothetical building form of Kynšperk nad Ohří castle (Sokolov district). Using the combination of previous evaluation, supplemented by a unique castle description after the Šlik‘s reconstruction, written sources and other available materials, the paper tries to point out the role of Kynšperk castle built on the borderland between the historic Cheb region and the Bohemian region of Sedlecko.
