Magnetically levitated systems and microactuators

Abstract

T he article describes the two main types of magnetically levitated systems on general and detailed characteristic basis. A comparison between the AC and DC power supplies for these systems, including the pros and cons of each type, is also provided in the p aper. Further, the constructed magnetically levitated planar actuator with moving magnets, the translator and stator design are explained.
