The paper is focused on a design of optimal propulsion system for folding portable scooter. The BLDC motor is used as a propulsion. The paper deals with the design of electronics for sensor control. Two control methods are compared: six-step commutation and vector control. Attention is given to efficiency of both methods and consecutive selection of the best of the two.
