The coilgun is a device which ejects small projectiles at great speed only by using electromagnetism with maximal power 1,1kJ. This principle offers a much higher theoretical limit on muzzle velocity against conventional projectile propulsion mechanisms. In addition of an electromagnetic acceleration is possible to regulate output velocity/energy and acceleration applied on projectile. Precise regulation could be achieved with power IGBT transistors used in this project.
