Monitoring water levels in retention basins is crucial for effective water resource management and the prevention of natural disasters such as floods and droughts. The aim of this work is to design and implement a continuous water level measurement device using Internet of Things (IoT) principles. With the development of IoT technologies, the possibility of using affordable, energy-efficient, and remotely controllable solutions is emerging. The objective of this work is to analyze the available sensors and communication modules, design the overall system architecture, and implement the circuit board. The proposed solution provides an innovative approach to water level monitoring that can be integrated into larger smart infrastructure systems. The work provides a detailed analysis of the technology used and possible future improvements.
