Abstract

The objective of this master's thesis is to develop the project documentation for the construction of a new old people's home in the distric of Brno-Bystrc, situated on Vejrostova Street. The building consists of two parts: a single-story section and a three-story section, housing 30 double bed room residential units designed to be wheelchair accessible. The home for seniors features a ground level terraces and balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The structural system of the building consist of two-way walls constructed of brick blocks. Additionally, the exterior walls are insulated using an External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS). The ceiling is made of monolithic reinforced concrete, the roof of the building is designed in the form of a flat vegetated extensive single-layer roof. The building's facade is white, and the window and door openings are made of anthracite-colored plastic profiles with triple glazing for insulation. The design of the home for seniors adheres to the current urban planning documentation of the city of Brno.
