El sector editorial sufrió una caída de la venta de libros del 18% durante la crisis económica global (2008-2011), según la FGEE (Federación de Gremios de Editores de España). Además, en este momento se encuentran con un contexto de cambios debido a la aparición de los formatos audiovisuales y el crecimiento de Internet, teóricos rivales de la industria del libro. Con las nuevas tendencias audiovisuales que surgen dentro del mercado editorial, a pesar de sus diferentes objetivos, ha conseguido establecer un punto de conexión entre ambas industrias. Gracias a fenómenos como los book influencers, booktrailers y audiolibros , estos dos sectores se potencian y benefician.
The publishing sector suffered an 18% drop in book sales during the global economic crisis (2008-2011), according to the FGEE (Federación de Gremios de Editores de España). Moreover, they are currently facing a context of change due to the emergence of audiovisual formats and the growth of the Internet, theoretical rivals of the book industry. With new audiovisual trends emerging within the publishing market, despite their different objectives, they have managed to establish a point of connection between the two industries. Thanks to phenomena such as book influencers, booktrailers and audiobooks, these two sectors are empowered and benefit from each other.
