FASCITIS PLANTAR: EPI VS ONDAS DE CHOQUE. REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA

Abstract

La fascitis o fasciosis plantar es una de las principales talalgias en la población adulta, representando el 80% del dolor de talón. La etiología de ésta patología es muy difusa y tiene un amplio abanico de técnicas de tratamiento, factores que incitan a estudiar sobre qué técnica es la más acertada. El objetivo del trabajo es determinar y comparar la eficacia que tiene el tratamiento de la fascitis o fasciosis plantar a través de Electrólisis Percutánea Intratisular (EPI) y ondas de choque. Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica en Medline, Scopus y ScienceDirect, obteniendo publicaciones desde el 15 de Abril hasta el 15 de Mayo, en las que obtengamos conclusiones sobre ambos tratamientos para poder contrastarlos, ya que no hay ningún estudio experimental que lo haga. Se ha optado por elegir 7 artículos (3 de EPI y 4 de ondas de choque), de los que se ha extraído información sobre el tipo de estudio, la población diana, periodo de tiempo y resultados. A través del análisis de los estudios se observa que ambos tratamientos son eficaces a la hora de abordar la patología, mejorando todos los objetivos propuestos al inicio del estudio. Bien es cierto que se precisa de estudios de mayor calidad que comparen ambas técnicas para poder analizar resultados más relevantes.
