Abstract

Data journalism is a growing phenomenon in recent years. Digital tools such as programming languages, visualization software and spreadsheets are becoming more accessible and allow journalists to develop stories with them. In 2016, the most read story in the world was the survey aggregation model of FiveThirtyEight.com for the United States presidential election of that year. The purpose of this Final Degree Project is to analyze the content and the strategies used by FiveThirtyEight in the process of its activity as a mass media that has data as its market niche.
