Las emisoras municipales son aquellas radios que económicamente dependen de los fondos públicos y de las recaudaciones que están bajo el control de la Administración Pública. Su principal objetivo es servir a la comunidad, así como cubrir los intereses sociales, culturales y educativos de los ciudadanos, no dando preferencia a aspectos mercantiles y monetarios como sí ocurre en la radiodifusión privada. Por todo ello, las emisoras municipales piden al Estado una gestión que garantice los espacios que el ámbito privado no debería ocupar. Respetándose de esta manera, sus indudables labores informativas. En este estudio se pretende analizar en profundidad la situación actual de las emisoras municipales en la provincia de Alicante. Para ello, ha sido preciso conocer la historia de las radios locales, el surgimiento, como ha sido la evolución y en qué situación se encuentran actualmente. Asimismo, se mostrará una comparativa del panorama radiofónico local actual en la Comunidad Valenciana con el de hace aproximadamente treinta años atrás, donde la situación económica y social era totalmente diferente a la que vivimos a día de hoy. Además, se presentarán diferentes datos significativos que se han conseguido a través de una investigación y de un minucioso trabajo de campo con diferentes radios locales de toda la comarca Alicantina. Es una obviedad que las radios locales atraviesan en estos momentos una difícil situación económica que da lugar a otros problemas que influyen directamente al mantenimiento y equipo técnico. En este trabajo se ha considerado relevante tener constancia del importante papel que ejercen las emisoras municipales en toda la sociedad, pues su foco de trabajo es exclusivo en cada municipio.

Municipal broadcasters are those radios that are economically dependent on public funds and revenues that are under the control of the Public Administration. Its main objective is to serve the community, as well as to cover the social, cultural and educational interests of citizens, not giving preference to mercantile and monetary aspects as it does in private broadcasting. For all this, the local radio stations ask the State for a management that guarantees the spaces that the private sector should not occupy. Respecting in this way, his undoubted informative work. This study aims to analyze in depth the current situation of municipal radio stations in the province of Alicante. For this, it has been necessary to know the history of the local radios, the emergence, as has been the evolution and in what situation they are at the moment. It will also show a comparison of the current local radio panorama in the Valencian Community with that of about thirty years ago, where the economic and social situation was totally different from the one we live today. In addition, we will present different significant data that have been obtained through an investigation and a thorough fieldwork with different local radios throughout the region of Alicante. It is a fact that local radios are currently experiencing a difficult economic situation that gives rise to other problems that directly affect maintenance and technical equipment. In this work it has been considered relevant to be aware of the important role that municipal radio stations play in society as a whole, since their work focuses exclusively on each municipality.
