Abstract

Los ambientes salinos son característicos del sureste de la Península Ibérica. A lo largo del litoral e interior se pueden observar estos paisajes que condicionan la vida de los seres vivos. Tanto como para albergar especialistas en la supervivencia en suelos con altas concentraciones de sal. Es la vegetación halófita, capaz de completar su ciclo de vida en estos ambientes. Para ello, las diferentes especies se adaptan con distintas técnicas de supervivencia, teniendo la distinción entre grupos funcionales: suculentos y no suculentos. En este caso, el grupo de especies suculentas estudiado es Salicornia fruticosa y Arthrocaulon macrostachyum. Mientras que Limonium cossonianum, como medida de supervivencia, excreta sal por sus hojas y Lygeum spartum es capaz de seleccionar las sales que requiere. Estás adaptaciones marcan la aparición de las especies en bandas de vegetación a lo largo del gradiente de salinidad. Siendo S. fruticosa la mayor adaptada a la salinidad, seguida de A. macrostachyum, L. cossonianum y L. spartum. Además de las distintas adaptaciones, estas especies muestran interacciones con los hongos micorrícicos, teniendo micorrizas, que ayudan a la supervivencia con el aporte de agua y nutrientes inmóviles necesarios para las plantas. Según los resultados obtenidos, se identifica la separación de porcentaje de micorrización de especies por grupo funcional (suculentas y no suculentas) dentro de la comunidad vegetal local de los diferentes saladares del sureste Ibérico. Cabe destacar, que la distribución depende de la planta huésped asociada al filtrado ambiental (conductividad eléctrica, humedad edáfica y la ratio Ca²⁺/Na⁺), que forman un gradiente ambiental salino, característico en los saladares. Saline environments are characteristic of the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula. These landscapes, observable along the coast and inland, condition the life of living beings. They are home to specialists in survival in soils with high salt concentrations: halophytic vegetation, capable of completing its life cycle in these environments. To achieve this, different species adapt with distinct survival techniques, distinguishing between functional groups (succulent and non-succulent). In this case, the group of succulent species studied is Salicornia fruticosa and Arthrocaulon macrostachyum. Meanwhile, Limonium cossonianum, as a survival measure, excretes salt through its leaves, and Lygeum spartum is able to select the salts it requires. These adaptations lead the appearance of species in vegetation bands along the salinity gradient. S. fruticosa is the most adapted to salinity, followed by A. macrostachyum, L. cossonianum, and L. spartum. In addition to distinct adaptations, these species show interactions with mycorrhizal fungi, specifically vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizae, which aid survival by providing water and immobile nutrients necessary for plants. According to the obtained results, the percentage of mycorrhization of species by functional group (succulent and non-succulent) was identified within the local plant community of the different salt marshes in the southeastern Iberian Peninsula. It should be noted that the distribution depends on the host plant associated with environmental filtration (electrical conductivity, soil moisture and the Ca²/Na⁺ ratio), which form an environmental saline gradient typical of saltmarshes.
