Limitaciones de la corresponsabilidad: la revolución inacabada

Abstract

Cuando reivindicamos el derecho a conciliar nos referimos a una necesidad básica de las personas trabajadoras en las sociedades actuales, que exigen poder compatibilizar de manera efectiva la vida personal y familiar con el trabajo, para poder desarrollarse libre y dignamente en todas las facetas de la vida, sin sufrir trabas ni discriminación por su ejercicio. Tal como se declaró en la X Cumbre de Mujeres Juristas (1) : “la conciliación solo cabe con la implicación de toda la sociedad, que aún ignora deliberadamente que la desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres persiste”. Sin embargo, pese a los muchos avances logrados hasta el momento, sigue siendo una “revolución pendiente” la de alcanzar la corresponsabilidad. Consideramos, no obstante, que resultaría ser más bien una revolución inacabada por cuanto ya se ha iniciado aunque está lejos de alcanzar su completo sentido.
