El 15-M analizado desde el presente

Abstract

Democracy is in a crisis of legitimacy. The Outraged Movement aroses on May 15, 2011, as a reaction to the inactivity of political parties, the upper echelons, low wages and the lack of employment and housing. The objective is to analyze history from the present, focusing on the concept of collective memory. After this, the possibility of repeating a concentration of these dimensions in the present is assessed and the extent to which 15-M was positive for the change of paradigm is questioned. Furthermore, in addition to the use of bibliography, interviews have been conducted with experts in the field as well as with young people who were involved in the phenomenon. The result has been a podcast in sound fiction format that aims to simulate everyday moments that give rise to the movement, the day of the concentration in Madrid and other cities in Spain and, finally, the memory that remains of 15-M years later. The conclusions drawn cast doubt on the possibility of repeating a movement like 15-M today, although they do recognize the similarities with respect to the political, economic and social panorama in which we are immersed. On the other hand, although at the beginning it was against populism and political parties, in the end it crystallized into one more and fragmented into as many pieces as it had ideas. Even so, there are some undeniable positive consequences that we can extract from 15-M at the present time.
