El Ingreso Mínimo Vital es una prestación dirigida a prevenir el riesgo de pobreza y exclusión social de personas que viven solas o que están integradas en una unidad de convivencia y no tienen recursos económicos básicos para cubrir las necesidades que se consideran básicas. Se configura como un derecho subjetivo a una prestación económica, que forma parte de la acción protectora de la Seguridad Social, y que garantiza un nivel mínimo de renta a quienes se encuentren en una situación de vulnerabilidad económica. Busca garantizar una mejora de oportunidades de inclusión social y laboral de las personas beneficiarias. En su diseño contiene incentivos al empleo y a la inclusión, relacionados a través de distintos métodos de cooperación entre administraciones.
The Minimum Vital Income is a benefit aimed at preventing the risk of poverty and social exclusion of people who live alone or who are integrated into a coexistence unit and do not have basic economic resources to cover the needs that are considered basic. It is configured as a subjective right to an economic benefit, which is part of the protective action of Social Security, and which guarantees a minimum level of income to those who are in a situation of economic vulnerability. It seeks to guarantee an improvement in opportunities for social and labor inclusion of the beneficiaries. In its design it contains incentives for employment and inclusion, related through different methods of cooperation between administrations.
