Drones FPV en los VFX

Abstract

La idea principal de este proyecto surge de la reciente incorporación de los drones de carreras (FPV) en la industria cinematográfica. Este tipo de drones, tienen una característica especial que los otros drones no tienen, y es que el piloto puede observar en primera persona lo que está “viendo” el dron mediante unas gafas especiales. Para este trabajo, por tanto, uniremos el campo de los drones FPV con el área de los efectos visuales (VFX). Desarrollando un proyecto de carácter audiovisual, que tomará como referencia los videojuegos en tercera persona. De esta manera, se creará un cortometraje con una estética futurista y postapocalíptica, basado en la huida de un personaje ante la situación de un posible peligro exterior. Para ello se experimentará con la incrustación de los VFX en los planos de dron FPV de manera que interactúen directamente con el personaje. Con el resultado final de la pieza audiovisual y con todo lo experimentado y aprendido, trataremos de tener cierto criterio para considerar si resulta eficiente implementar la fusión del dron FPV con VFX.

The main idea of this project arises from the recent incorporation of racing drones (FPV) in the film industry. These types of drones have a special feature that other drones do not have, and that is that the pilot can observe in the first person what the drone is "seeing" through special glasses. For this work, therefore, we will unite the field of FPV drones with the area of visual effects (VFX). Developing an audiovisual project, which will take third-person video games as a reference. On this way, a short film with a futuristic and post-apocalyptic aesthetic will be created, based on the flight of a character in the face of a possible external danger. For this, the embedding of the VFX in the FPV drone plans will be experimented with so that they interact directly with the character. With the final result of the audiovisual piece and with everything experienced and learned, we will try to have certain criteria to consider if it is efficient to implement the fusion of the FPV drone with VFX.
