Abstract

Las cerezas son frutas con una corta vida útil. En este trabajo se ha estudiado el efecto de tratamientos de precosecha con productos de origen natural sobre la cereza (Prunus avium L. Prime Giant). Los tratamientos precosecha con poliaminas mostraron una menor incidencia de las pérdidas de peso, lo que incrementó la firmeza de los frutos. Además, los tratamientos fueron capaces de mejorar el color y distintos parámetros de calidad de las cerezas durante su almacenamiento postcosecha. El pedicelo de los frutos también fue afectado por los tratamientos reduciendo el pardeamiento en los frutos tratados con poliaminas. Por lo tanto, los tratamientos precosecha con compuestos de origen natural, podrían mejorar los parámetros de calidad de la cereza en la cosecha y durante su posterior almacenamiento postcosecha.

Sweet cherries are fruits with a short shelf-life. In this document, the effect of pre-harvest treatments with products of natural origin on cherry (Prunus avium L. 'Prime Giant') has been studied. Pre-harvest treatments with polyamines showed a lower incidence of weight loss, which increased the firmness of the fruits. Furthermore, the treatments were able to improve the color and different quality parameters of the cherries during their postharvest storage. The pedicel of the fruits was also affected by the treatments, reducing browning in the fruits treated with polyamines. Therefore, pre-harvest treatments with compounds of natural origin could improve cherry quality parameters at harvest and during subsequent post-harvest storage
