Activación alcalina para mezclas secas

Abstract

Las cenizas volantes activadas alcalinamente constituyen la base para generar cementos con importantes propiedades mecánicas, adherentes y durables. Adicionalmente el desarrollo de estos cementos podría contribuir a mitigar las emisiones de CO2 a la atmósfera, ya que el material base de los mismos puede estar formado por subproductos industriales. En la presente investigación se realizó un estudio para determinar el comportamiento de las cenizas reaccionando con hidróxido de sodio para formar geo polímeros y sustituir el cemento Portland en un 100%, este estudio se realizó para mezclas secas utilizadas para fabricar adoquines de concreto. Los resultados obtenidos en las mezclas propuestas no cumplieron con las propiedades mecánicas exigidas por la norma técnica colombiana para la fabricación de adoquines y tampoco con las resistencias que se obtienen con el cemento Portland lo que hace que el estudio no sea viable.
