Abstract

El fenómeno de colapso en suelos arcillosos se da cuando la estructura del suelo pierde volumen de una manera súbita y significativa esto puede ocurrir bajo cualquier tipo de esfuerzo, para el grado de colapso está regida por la norma ASTM D5333-03 “Standart Test Mrthod for Measurement of Collapse Potential of Soils” para este trabajo de grado decidimos tomar material caolín y agregarle porcentajes (0, 10, 20, Y 40%) de yeso un mineral que es segmentante y se produce en la naturaleza con facilidad, en este caso nosotros lo agregaremos de manera artificial, al material base para generar la segmentación en diferentes porcentajes, realizaremos los ensayos de colapso con tres esfuerzo de inundación (50, 100 y 200Kpa).
