Abstract

Este proyecto se planteó con el fin de observar y analizar el comportamiento que presentan una mezcla densa en caliente tipo 2 (MDC-19) modificada con residuos de caucho proveniente de una remontadora de calzado, el estudio comprende una etapa teórica y una etapa experimental donde se realizaron pruebas de laboratorio, para finalmente llegar a los resultados y sus respectivos análisis y conclusiones del proyecto. En una investigación preliminar se realizaron 17 diseños Marshall con 3 tipos de aditivos que son caucho llanta, caucho industrial de calzado y desecho caucho-cuero con porcentajes de adición de 0,5%,1%,2% y 4% y con porcentajes de asfalto de 4,5%, 5%, 5,5%,6% y 6,5%, luego se realizó el ensayo Marshall para cada uno de las probetas, determinando su estabilidad y flujo. Como conclusión de esta investigación se encontró que el mejor comportamiento para las modificaciones realizadas se obtuvo con 4% de Desecho Caucho – Cuero y 5% asfalto modificado.
