La Escuela Austriaca de economía y la economía social de mercado

Abstract

La presente investigación expone las bases y desarrollo de la Economía Social de Mercado, según la adoptó Ludwig Erhard en Alemania Occidental, durante la primera década de 1950, que siguió a la derrota de Alemania en la segunda guerra mundial. Plantea que las doctrinas de la Economía Social de Mercado se asemejan a las de la Escuela Austriaca de Economía. Finalmente, presenta un resumen estadístico de los indicadores económicos alemanes, para inferir la consistencia interna de su modelo económico y de la capacidad de la Economía Social de Mercado para llevar a Alemania Occidental a superar las economías de Francia, Reino Unido y Estados Unidos vencedores en la segunda guerra mundial.
