El presente artículo de investigación abordará el concepto de la Justicia Transicional, en donde se centrará en el mecanismo extrajudicial de las Comisiones de la Verdad, estudiando su concepto, aplicación y desarrollo dentro de un contexto de posacuerdo tras medio siglo de violencia. Por lo que se expondrá el acuerdo final para la terminación del conflicto del año 2016 y por tanto se definirá el papel de las Comisiones de la verdad en Colombia.
