Abstract

A continuación, antes de precisar la definición de obligación, se realizará un breve recorrido por los orígenes de este concepto en el Derecho Romano, para visualizar su importancia en la construcción de todo el derecho privado de la familia Romano-Germánica, a la cual pertenece nuestro ordenamiento jurídico. En ese sentido, es posible observar que en el Derecho Romano la obligación está prácticamente definida como un vínculo jurídico que ata al acreedor al deudor en razón de una prestación.
