LA DEUDA PÚBLICA

Abstract

[EN] Because of the current trend of increasing public debt globally, it is interesting to study the causes and consequences of this rise. First, we will detail what this economic variable consists of. Then, we will study the economic situation in which we find ourselves as a consequence of the American real estate bubble and how we have acted different economic variables in this situation. We will also analyze some specific countries. We will see the different ceiling increases in the United States as well as the details of Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea. We can see how the Great Recession of 2008 has affected both the Eurozone and the emerging countries. In the case of Europe, we will also study the countries that have been rescued such as Greece and the case of Spain, Ireland, Portugal and Italy.
