Matrimonios de conveniencia y Derecho Internacional Privado

Abstract

[EN] The main objective of this Project is to analyse marriages of convenience from different perspectives, especially regarding private international law. This is a widespread issue called arranged marriage, or more commonly known as marriage of convenience. Intermarriages are common in our multicultural society; however, weddings between individuals from different states are often arranged with the main aim of obtaining the residence permit, the entrance and continuity in a country and the nationality in this country. In this sense, the real wilfulness of marriage is totally forgotten. These marriages are common in countries like Spain with high rates of inmigration.
