[EN]The real option valuation is a complement to the classic methods of valuation, it try to fill the deficiencies that these methods present. The main goal of this final project is to explain the real option valuation and its advantages and disadvantages, as well as to present a practical example on how we can use it to support the strategy management. For this reason, we begin by exposing the differences of these methods with the classical methods and then continue deepening in the real option valuation, displaying the calculation, typology and utility. In the end, three practical cases are presented where situations that can occur in the business reality are evaluated for this method. This project finish with my personal conclusion about the real option valuation and recommendations for its use.
