Problemas ambientales de las arcillas expansivas

Abstract

In this work, It has been realized the mineralogical characterization of geological samples in the region of Torreperogil-Sabiote, with the aim of to determine the presence and the type of clays, and the influence of this clays in the ground. Also, the connection of this clays with active fault and earthquakes that have taken place the last two years. In this work, it has been confirmed by means of X ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, that the presence of expansive clays in the materials can be susceptible to landslide. Also, this clays must amplify the seismic waves of earthquakes.
