Redes sociales y multitarea: influencia del uso frecuente de Facebook en una situación multitarea

Abstract

Las redes sociales se han convertido en una herramienta de comunicación diaria para un gran porcentaje de la población mundial. Estas redes están cambiando la forma de comunicación de las personas, y su uso frecuente conlleva que se acaben utilizando al mismo tiempo que otras actividades. Este estudio propone un diseño cuasiexperimental a nivel teórico mediado por la frecuencia del uso de Facebook que permita analizar si el uso frecuente de dicha red social reduciría el déficit en el rendimiento en situaciones multitarea en las que ejerce un rol fundamental la atención dividida.

Social networks have become a daily communication tool for a large percentage of the world's population. These networks are changing the way people communicate, and their frequent use means that they are used at the same time as other activities. This study proposes a theoretical quasiexperimental design mediated by the frequency of use of Facebook to analyze whether frequent use of such a social network would reduce the performance deficit in multitasking situations where divided attention plays a fundamental role.
