Abstract

Debido a la problemática que causa el alperujo, especialmente en la provincia de Jaén por la gran cantidad de aceite de oliva que cada año se produce, es importante encontrar nuevas utilizaciones para este tipo de residuo agroindustrial. Siendo Bailén uno de los principales núcleos de elaboración de cerámica, es importante relacionar ambas cosas. Este trabajo trata sobre la mezcla de arcilla con alperujo para la fabricación de cerámica, en este caso ladrillos. Diferentes cantidades de arcilla fueron sustituidas por alperujo y se analizó su composición mineralógica mediante las técnicas de difracción de rayos X y microscopia electrónica de barrido.

Due to the problem that the alperujo causes, especially in the province of Jaén by the large number of olive oil extracted each year, it is important to find new uses for this type of agroindustrial waste. As Bailén is one of the main production centers for the ceramic industry, it is important to link both of them. This paper deals with the clay-alperujo mixture for making ceramic bricks. Different amounts of clay were substituted for alperujo and their mineralogical composition was analyzed by the techniques of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope.
