INTERVENCIÓN PARA AUMENTAR EL AFECTO POSITIVO EN NIÑOS CON TRASTORNO DEL ESPECTRO AUTISTA

Abstract

A lo largo del presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) se presenta un proyecto de intervención destinada a niños en edad escolar que padecen Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). El programa de intervención tiene como objetivo mejorar la afectividad, el reconocimiento y la comprensión de emociones y las habilidades sociales de estos niños para lograr como fin último una buena adaptación a su entorno y mejorar la calidad de vida. La metodología propuesta es de tipo cuasiexperimental con un grupo control y un grupo experimental. La intervención se compone de una sesión de psicoeducación para los padres y cuidadores, un entrenamiento en reconocimiento y comprensión de emociones con un juego interactivo creado para la misma, la respiración profunda y la relajación progresiva adaptada en niños y un entrenamiento en habilidades sociales. Como beneficios esperados los niños con TEA mejorarán su actuación en los distintos contextos sociales en los que se desenvuelven de forma que comprendan las emociones en los demás y las suyas propias de una forma más adaptativa, que, junto al entrenamiento en habilidades sociales, mejorará sus relaciones con sus compañeros y familiares, aumentando el vínculo que les une con ellos. Se produciría un aumento del afecto positivo y una disminución del afecto negativo en los niños con TEA, aumentando así el bienestar y su calidad de vida.

To this End-of-Degree (GFR) is a project of intervention to children of school age who suffer from autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The intervention program aims to improve the affection, the recognition and understanding of emotions and social skills of these children to achieve the ultimate goal of a good adaptation to their environment and improve the quality of life. The proposed methodology is a quasi-experimental design with a control group and an experimental group. The intervention consists of a session of psychoeducation for parents and caregivers, training in recognition and understanding of emotions with an interactive game created for the same, deep breathing and progressive relaxation adapted in children and training in social skills. How to expected benefits children with ASD will improve its performance in the different social contexts in which they operate in such a way that they understand the emotions in others and own more adaptive, which, together with the training in social skills, improve their relationships with their peers and family, increasing the bond that unites them with them. There would be an increase in the positive affect and a decrease in the negative affect in children with ASDS, thus increasing the well-being and their quality of life.
