Desarrollo endógeno en Mancha Real: industria del mueble

Abstract

The municipality of Mancha Real highlighted in the history of the industry since the sixties, being a benchmark of endogenous development. The entrepreneurs of wooden furniture created new companies. They made Mancha Real a model for job creation and wealth. The decade of the nineties was the best for industry of Mancha Real. At that time the companies of wooden furniture were managed very well and they began to export to other countries. In 2008, the financial and economic crisis arrived to the village of Mancha Real, having to close most local companies. Nowadays, we are suffering a deep crisis in the industry of the village, due to the collapse of the construction sector. The agriculture sector is not serving of support for the local economy. You could always work in the field but at the moment, with agricultura! mechanization and the falling price of olive oil, work on the olive sector is more difficult.

La localidad de Mancha Real fue haciéndose hueco en la historia de la industria, destacando desde los años 60. Los empresarios del mueble de madera, emprendiendo con nuevos negocios hacen que la localidad se convierta en un referente de creación de empleo y riqueza. La década de los años 90 fue la de mayor dinamismo de la industria de Mancha Real, llamándose la "década de oro'', concibiéndose una nueva fonna de concebir la empresa del mueble, donde se llegó a traspasar las fronteras nacionales. La crisis económica y financiera afectó en la localidad de Mancha Real, teniéndose que llegar a cerrar la mayoría de las empresas de la localidad. El sector agrario tampoco está sirviendo de ayuda para la economía de la localidad. Los excedentes de tesorería de las empresas madereras sirvieron para comprar terrenos olivareros, y con la crisis, el olivo ha sido el que han sustentado a las empresas.
