Abstract

This Final Project takes as a purpose the evaluation of water resources in ungauged basins, so it allow us to calculate the average annual flow at one point the river without flow measures, using only meteorological data and characteristics of the catchment. lt has been added a methodology based on empirical equations. Finally, the methodology developed will be applied to study Rehabilitation of 18 small hydroelectric power plants which were made by the Department of Electrical Engineering in the University of Jaén,contrasting experimental results provided by our calculation tool to apply the study by the University of Jaen, for model validation. All in all, we have a complete, easy and reliable tool that allow us evaluate the possibility of placing a small hydroelectric power plant, without being on the ground and without measurements, which reduces the costs of the study and provides great speed.
