Abstract

The main goal for this work is study the basic functions for automatic sign language recognition using Leap Motion. With the final goal of develop a sign language traductor for facilitate and expedite comunication between deaf‐mute people and people with hearing capacity, which don't know this language. In this way, it has been acquired new advanced techniques for image/signal processing. On the other hand, it has been realized an extensive revision about how leap motion work and it had been studied different issues about sign language. All this with the goal of develop an appropiate and dedicated recognition system for this TFG. To achieve this goal, it has been developed a C++ application which meets with all the designed functions in the sign recognition system. Also, it has been realized several test for probing its correct funcionality.
