Abstract

Throughout the centuries and in bigger part of societies, over all in those societies most developed, it has tended to discriminate and classify to people according to certain variable in an arbitrary and subjective way; therefore, currently, depending on the social class, socioeconomic status or sex, among other, people is still treated one way or another.Almost from the beginning of human history, women have been unable to access jobs or areas which were monopolized by men, such as science or literature. Women have been reduced to housework, care work and jobs classified as female works, for example dressmaking, or assisting in the houses of poor and miscreant. With this bibliographical study, it is tried to deepen on a topic that has been a taboo for a long time like transsexuality and that due to this has turned into a topic slightly studied and forgotten both by society and by the political parties. In addition, with this review we will be able to discover a series of women who, along the history of the humanity, they have had that cross-dressing to be able to survive, to be employed at areas in which only men could do it or simply to be able to live of different form from since society it was forcing them to do.
