Abstract

This Final Master’s Project focuses on the design and implementation of a teaching unit for Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL) at B2 level, with special emphasis on the development of intercultural competence in a German university context. Based on the task-based communicative approach and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the proposal aims to meaningfully integrate sociolinguistic, pragmatic, and cultural content in Spanish, encouraging reflective language use in real and multicultural contexts. Through authentic, collaborative and contextualized activities, the unit fosters students’ ability to interpret cultural differences, adapt registers and communicate empathetically and appropriately. The project combines updated theoretical foundations with realistic classroom application, aiming to develop global communicative competence.
