Discapacidad intelectual en la vejez

Abstract

The following Final Degree Project (TFG) focuses on the aging process of individuals with intellectual disabilities, a topic of increasing importance due to the rising life expectancy within this population. The primary objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive literature review to better understand the needs and challenges these individuals face as they age. Furthermore, this project explores the role of Social Work in this context, highlighting strategies to overcome or mitigate the barriers and difficulties encountered by this group, with the aim of promoting their autonomy and social participation
