Abstract

The aim of this study was on to analyze the health status and motor competence in older adults according to their age group. The sample included 191 subjects (56 men and 135 women). Motor competence was evaluated using the "Holistic Test," and data on health and lifestyle habits were collected through validated questionnaires. The results showed significant differences in various health measures and motor performance between different age groups and genders, with a decrease in motor competence and health status as age increases. No significant differences were found in marital status, but there were differences in educational level, tobacco use, and participation in physical activities. It is concluded that age and gender are determining factors in the health and motor competence of older adults, highlighting the need for specific strategies to promote healthy aging.
