Abstract

To face the challenges of this new era, we must make an intellectual effort and think about our educational paradigm in order to glimpse what we are going to need. The knowledge is fundamental but, with a view to future years, the development of the well-known soft skills has appeared. Skills that are not transmitted as knowledge in traditional programs but that are part of it and are necessary. Education should design programs aimed at these competencies since, due to the exponential technological progress we are experiencing, information quickly becomes obsolete with the arrival of new paradigms. These skills not only do not expire but, since they are profoundly and exclusively human, will help us define a better world personally and professionally. We will show that negotiation is a peaceful conflict resolution tool within everyone's reach. But nowadays, there are deficiencies that hinder learning about it in the educational environment.
