CLIL is an Art. A CLIL+STEAM didactic proposal

Abstract

This dissertation explores the combination of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) pedagogical model through the presentation of a didactic proposal. As technology and science advancements rapidly reshape our lives, the 21st century demands necessitate education as a cornerstone in preparing adaptable student-citizens. Consequently, emerging educational policies increasingly focus on Competency development. Due to globalization, communicative competence is crucial, and CLIL emerges as the European solution for bilingual education, promoting unity across regions and countries. Furthermore, CLIL requires student-centered methodologies like the STEAM approach. This document provides an introductory overview of CLIL education and the STEAM methodology. It includes a guide for planning CLIL+STEAM proposals, exemplified through a didactic unit. The document concludes by offering some reflections and conclusions.
