Bioquímica de los neurotransmisores

Abstract

Neurotransmitters are molecules that have a crucial role in maintaining our mental and physical balance by carrying out different actions, they exert their mechanism of action throughout the organism through synapses in which different receptors are involved. In this Final Degree Project, the different neurotransmitters that intervene in our organism will be analyzed, from a biochemical point of view, especially in the routes that participate and their mechanism of action, and the associated pathologies and their possible treatments will be seen. The different neurotransmitters on which this Final Degree Project has focused are acetylcholine, adrenaline and norepinephrine, dopamine, endorphins, glutamate, GABA and nitric oxide.
