Abstract

This is a project that focuses on defining what Cloud Computing technology is, being studied both in a theoretical way, through which an in-depth analysis of this technology is carried out, and in a practical way, creating a web application that will be deployed through the Platform as a Service (PaaS) paradigm. In theory, the analysis is mainly focused on the exact definition of Cloud Computing, analysing the evolution over time, until reaching the present. The advantages and disadvantages are seen, and an in-depth comparison of the main existing providers is made. As for the practical approach, an application called TwSent has been created, which performs a real-time sentiment analysis on Twitter. This application has been deployed in the cloud, and the project shows how it has been done.
