Authors: Rus Marín, María;

Abstract

In the present work, the issue of the transition of adolescent mothers is addressed, since it is quite worrying, although the levels have decreased, it is still present, adding that adolescence is the most vulnerable stage for the human being. This problem puts both the physical and mental health of the young woman and her future child at risk. Pregnancy in adolescence brings with it many consequences such as: school dropout, exclusion, sexually transmitted diseases, poverty, precarious jobs with poorly paid wages, gender inequality, problems planning a future, among others. Depending on the culture of the young woman, this situation may be more or less accepted by her members. Thanks to the role that the social educator has in society, they can help this group so that their transition to motherhood is as successful as possible and the repercussions are the least serious.
