Mercado laboral para personas con discapacidad

Authors: Cano López, María Luisa;

Mercado laboral para personas con discapacidad

Abstract

Many advances have been made in recent years by people with disabilities, the associative movement and the Executive Power to make their inclusion in the labor market real and effective. This paper shows the current situation of the labor market for people with disabilities in Spain. Much remains to be done, so it is intended not only to give visibility to this group, but also to the barriers encountered in companies to access and develop a job under equal conditions, such as stereotypes that still prevail in society. It also indicates guidelines to be adopted that would reduce these barriers. Finally, the disabled collective is highlighted as a consumer market with great potential to be exploited; as a consumer of goods, services, assistive technologies, etc., thus creating an important source of employment.
