Es una revisión bibliográfica donde se realiza un estudio de la aplicación del ADN antiguo en campos como la Paleogenética y la Arqueogenética. Para ello se han empleado trabajos recientes y relevantes, otro propósito fue ampliar los conocimientos sobre este campo, así como el análisis, comprensión y explicación de los resultados que se han obtenido a lo largo de la historia de la genética. Por otro lado, también se ha estudiado las ventajas y la importancia del ADN antiguo sobre los campos mencionados anteriormente, así como los problemas que le acompañan a la hora de su extracción y análisis.

It is a bibliographic review where a study of the application of ancient DNA in fields such as Paleogenetics and Archaeogenetics is carried out. For this, recent and relevant works have been used, another purpose was to expand the knowledge about this field, as well as the analysis, understanding and explanation of the results that have been obtained throughout the history of genetics. On the other hand, the advantages and importance of ancient DNA over the fields mentioned above have also been studied, as well as the problems that accompany it at the time of its extraction and analysis.
